Building bridges, overcoming borders:

East-West-East Germany e.V. - For international youth encounters and European solidarity

East-West-East Germany e.V. is a non-profit organization based in Hagen with an extensive network throughout Germany and beyond. Our aim is to bring young people from Eastern and Western Europe together, to familiarize them with the principles of democracy and human rights and to offer them a safe space for non-formal education and exchange. Through projects within the framework of the EU youth program Erasmus+, we facilitate international encounters and promote intercultural learning.

Every year, we take on volunteers from various Eastern European and Western European countries as part of the European Solidarity Corps (ESK). We also have an important cooperation with the 

Elaphi kindergarten in Hagen, where volunteers from East-West-East Germany e.V. also work.

In addition, we act as a sending organization for young people from Germany who have the opportunity to work in partner NGOs in countries such as Spain, Poland, Estonia and Georgia.

We welcome interns, trainees and committed people from Germany and abroad to help us develop our projects.

East-West-East Germany e.V. is actively committed to peace and international understanding. We therefore cooperate closely with the “Hagener Friedenszeichen” association. Together we organize peaceful rallies and demonstrations, stand up against discrimination and human rights violations and are committed to a more peaceful world.
