⌂ Youth Exchange Flavours of the Wild
The "Flavours of the Wild" outdoor cooking youth exchange has been an incredible journey from Georgia to Germany. Participants engaged in hands-on cooking, learned essential outdoor skills, and explored sustainability through workshops on biodiversity and waste reduction.
Intercultural exchange enriched the experience, fostering lasting friendships among participants. As we conclude this transformative project, we celebrate the skills gained and memories made,
while feeling a bittersweet sense of farewell. Let me know

⌂ Youth Exchange "Breaking Silence, Inspiring Change: Empowering Youth with Human Rights."
We had the pleasure of hosting our Erasmus+ funded Youth Exchange, "Breaking Silence, Inspiring Change: Empowering Youth with Human Rights." Over the course of the program, 22 young people from Germany, Austria, and Türkiye came together to learn, connect, and advocate for youth rights and human rights.
They returned home with new friendships, valuable insights, and practical tools to promote human rights in their communities. This exchange has inspired meaningful change, and we’re excited to see the impact they’ll make!

✈︎ Human Rights Education: trainingscourse in Georgia
Here are some highlights from our recent project on "Human Rights Education". Participants created and led their own sessions for young people from Georgia. Even though it’s been raining and storming since day one, we made the most of it. In addition to some great discussions, we had a lot of fun!
OCTOBER 04-06
⌂ Juleica trainingscourse in ZIBB in Berchum
The Juleica training course is a great way to prepare for working with young people and enhance your teaching skills.
The training covered important topics for working with young people, such as how to lead groups effectively, resolve conflicts, and plan fun activities. There was also a strong emphasis on first aid to prepare everyone for emergencies.
Overall, the event was a success, motivating everyone to further develop their skills in youth work.

⌂ Language Animation Weekend in ZIBB in Berchum
We recently hosted an engaging Language Animation Weekend at ZIBB in Berchum. This event was a wonderful opportunity for participants to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.The atmosphere fostered openness and creativity, allowing attendees to explore language in a playful and inclusive manner. Overall, the seminar enhanced our understanding of language animation. We look forward to more such gatherings in the future.
SEPTEMBER 19- 22
⌂ Art Weekend in ZIBB in Berchum
The art weekend for young people offered a unique opportunity to live out their creativity and discover new forms of expression. Through various workshops, they were not only able to discover or develop their artistic skills, but also new techniques such as the centuries-old wax painting technique with hot painting irons as well as macramé workshops and color discussions.
Artistic activity as a bridge between inner and outer movement is invaluable. It requires courage and playfully elicits the power of decision, as every stroke, every choice of form, color and material has a significant impact on the artwork.
The art weekend was a complete success. The combination of creative workshops and confidence games created an inspiring and supportive environment. The participants went home with new skills, valuable experiences and a strengthened sense of community.
AUGUST 12-20
⌂ Youth Exchange "Fostering Resilience in You(th) in ZIBB in Berchum".
Participants from Estonia, Germany, and Armenia came together to discuss important aspects of mental health and well-being in the modern world.
During these days, they conducted numerous sessions, meetings, group discussions, and creative workshops that helped better understand ourselves and share experiences with one another. The project became not only a platform for learning but also a place where new international friendships were formed and cultural ties were strengthened.
JULY 09-23
⌂ ESC Volunteering teams International Music Camp "Fusion Experience"
From 09 to 23 of July, a group of over 20 young, talented musicians from Greece, Georgia, Germany, Moldova, and Ukraine came together for a two-week creative project in Hagen Berchum.
During this time, they lived and collaborated closely, forming three distinct music bands to create original pieces. The project culminated in two public performances: the first on July 19th in Bochum, during the East-West-East Germany organisation's birthday festival, and the second on July 20th at Volme Galerie in Hagen.
The project not only fostered cross-cultural exchange but also demonstrated the power of music to bridge differences and create a shared language.
MAY 23-29
✈︎ Youth Exchange "Enhancing Youth Well-Being and Active Citizenship", in Greece.
Recently, a team from East-West-East Germany e.V. participated in an Erasmus+ program in Kastoria, Greece. The organisation was represented by participants Yulia, Viktoriia, Oleksandr, and Mücahit.
Every activity was organized at a high level, which allowed the participants to fully immerse themselves in the topics of well-being and mental health. "We returned home with new knowledge, bright memories, and motivation to continue participating in such initiatives“.
MAY 03-05
⌂ Weekend meeting in ZIBB in Berchum on the future European Parliament elections.
The 1. weekend of May was dedicated to the upcoming European elections #europawahl2024
In a small group, participants had discussions and a quiz on the structure and functions of the European Parliament, as well as the simulation game.
The main objective of the organisers was to prepare for the elections and to discuss the impact of youth activism on EU politics.
APRIL 15-21
✈︎ Youth Exchange “Human Rights. Human Compass” in France.
The objectives of the project were:
→ Increasing the competencies of youth leaders and educators in the field of Human Rights Education and anti-hate speech activism;
→ Training participants in using creative and effective non-violent activities against discrimination online and offline;
→ Mainstreaming anti-hate speech and HRE methods in youth work and developing future HRE media products for further development;
MARCH 08-10
⌂ Mental Health Weekend in ZIBB in Berchum
From March 8th to 10th, we hosted a restoring mental health retreat for young participants. The weekend featured morning yoga sessions, silent forest walks, meditation, mandala coloring, and art therapy classes. It was a time for relaxation, self-discovery, and healing. We're thankful to everyone who joined us on this transformative journey.

We had an amazing time connecting and learning at our recent gathering during the Language Animation Seminar. Laughter, conversations, and cultural exchange made it a cool experience!

⌂ Social Media Workshop in ZIBB in Berchum
During the weekend we talked about content categorization, content balance and the importance of broadcasting values in blog. In addition, we shared with participants different storytelling structures for social media. They got also some design and video tips from a professional graphic designer.
